Certainly everyone knows that that yellowish liquid that surrounds the baby during pregnancy is called amniotic fluid. However ti seems that less and less are familiar with is its real importance and role. In fact at one hand it enhances the movement of the fetus inside the uterus without having to struggle with the dry walls. On the other hand after only 10 weeks it becomes filled with both lipids, proteins, carbohydrates and phospholipids which all reach the baby.

A healthy pregnancy presupposes a normal amniotic fluid level. In fact the amount of this liquid increases as the date of labor approaches. Each phase of the pregnancy necessitates a certain rate for the amniotic fluid, which means that if irregularities are identified it is vital to contact your MD in order to eliminate this risk factor.
