Just recently, published Facebook demographics have been released showing a great number of teens leaving the said social media. It looks as though the fame of the once most popular social media wane out. The published report was compared with the 2011 Facebook Demographics & Statistics that involved gender, location, education and other vital information for the US users.
These demographics, conducted by iStrategylabs had Facebook’s Social Advertising platform as its data source. Among the top insights include the following:
Teens aged between 13 to 17 on Facebook have declined -25.3% over the last 3 years.
Users with age between 18-24 have also decreased by 3 million with the stated span of time.
Between 2011 to 2014, 55+ have increased with +80.4% growth in the last 3 years.
