What sunscreen lotion should we use?

Depending on the type of skin, the duration of the sunbath it’s different. One thing is certain: you must not expose yourself at lunch-time (11:30 – 15:30), when the sun burns, not tan. Dermatologists say that in the first day, you must not stay more than 30 minutes at the sun. The use of creams, lotions with UV screen is obligatory.

Creams, lotions with high UV filter (15 – 20), after the skin tanned, you may use one with 5 -10 SPF. The cream must be applied with 30 minutes before the solar exposure, to absorb well into the skin. If you apply it when you get to the beach, don’t be surprised if you get burn in the first 10 minutes! Even if on the packing writes that is water-proof, re-apply it after every bath. It’s safer. Anyway, it don’t resist to the salt of sea and the chloride from pools.

If you want to intensify the bronze

Use the sun-oil, which has one drawback: low protection factor (2, even 0). If you mix it with a tee-spoon of olive-oil and one of lemon juice, you skin will look gorgeous!

Tips Keep the nuance

- after you wash well the skin with warmish water, to remove any mark of sand, apply an after-sun cream, but same line with the UV filter cream. The after-sun cream’s role is to soothe the skin, to cool down and to moisturize.

- if your skin is very dry, you can apply daily body butter. It moisturizes well and it “promises” you, that your skin won’t peel off. Like this you will keep the bronze for a longer period. Don’t make the mistake to maintain the bronze by applying self-tan lotion, because it has an artificial color, and the self-tan lotion. Anyway, its effect goes away after 3 baths. So what have you done?
