The Ugly Truth: Models are Photoshopped to Hide Extreme Thinness
Last year, we saw a leaked video on how a model was Photoshopped to clear out imperfections. We have seen how some Non Government Organization campaign against anorexia through different ads. As the year embarks, we are once again surprised by some fashion editing photos to give the finished product that we are envious of.
Now, Lead Hardy, a former editor of Cosmopolitan wrote an expose about how cool photo editing were able to hide models’ alarming thinness. Cameron Diaz for example for Photoshop were her cheeks were filled out, bust leveled, her thighs widened, and stomach made fuller and natural looking. His bony definition on the hip was smoothed while her arms and shoulders were made bulkier.
In another example, Karlie Kloss’ prominent bony rib cage was Photoshopped and was made natural looking and less scary. The magazine cover was seen in October 2012 issue of Numero.
